Defended window installation subcontractor on multiparty complex construction and design defect claim over $25 million.

Clayton Crossing
This HOA filed a multimillion dollar suit against Taylor Morrison for building envelope construction defects and water intrusion. In turn, Taylor Morrison sued all subcontractors involved in the building envelope construction, including the window installer Weathermaster Building Products, Inc. (“WBP”). We are fortunate to be their corporate counsel, and successfully defended WBP against all construction defect claims in the lawsuit.

Defended engineer of record in complex design/build errors and omissions design claims.
Orlando World Center Marriott (North Tower)
Defended general contractor against construction defect stucco application water intrusion claims over $6 million.
Poinciana High School
Prosecution of large bond claim on behalf of electrical supplier.
SeaWorld Orlando
Assisted in preparing and recording Claim of Lien for Swedish engineering company that specializes in theme park roller coasters. Amount of lien approximately $1.5 million.
Tampa Gibbons Federal Courthouse
Defended curtain wall subcontractor on construction defect water intrusion claims over $7 million.

Represented owner in prosecution of errors and omissions design claims.
Villa Verde HOA
In April 2013, a cantilevered balcony from a penthouse unit collapsed. Fortunately no injuries occurred, but it led to a multimillion dollar lawsuit against the designers and contractors on the Project. The suit included errors and omissions in structural design and building envelope water intrusion claims. Milne Law Group, P.A. successfully defended the general contractor, W&J Construction, toward settlement.
